2002 Volkswagen Jetta GLS

This has been my daily driver for the last 6 months or so and my commute is getting longer. Motor does have high miles, but you wouldn't know it from driving it. The previous transmission went out and so I replaced it with a unit that has 200k miles on it out of a junkyard. Shifts great. It's not a racecar, but it has plenty of passing power and gets great fuel mileage. I bought it off of a guru that was meticulous with maintenance and I've continued the same regimens with synthetic oil and adding 2 cycle oil to the fuel every tank to lube the fuel pump. It's a 2002 TDI 5 speed manual with some specialty pieces like Recaro seats out of a GLI, euro hatch, euro ocean tail lights, Metal Nerd 2 inch lift kit (speedometer is dead on), big brakes off an R32 along with R32 bushings and more throughout the front suspension and euro tow springs plus an R32 shift knob and tweed in-lays in the doors. You'd be surprised how well it handles as a lifted station wagon. It has a VNT17 turbo, injectors, Southbend clutch, Malone tune, 3" downpipe and exhaust, and a hidden intercooler. It also has a Frostheater block heater to make it easier to start on subzero mornings. Looks good, zippy, sounds mean, regularly gets 40+ miles to the gallon. It has the stock radio in it, which sounds great. Also has the correct glovebox door (not busted off, like many of these cars). Tinted all the way around with a brow in the front. The windshield is cracked on the passenger side (see pics), but it doesn't bother me and passes inspection no problem. A little bit of rust is starting right behind the front wheels on each rocker, but this too could fixed and 95% of the rockers are perfect (see pics). The passenger door was apparently repainted or replaced at some point, but it looks like a good match in natural light. The bumper and hood may have been repainted or replaced as well, but it would be before I've owned it. I recently replaced the glow plugs because it was starting to struggle a bit in the recent cold weather. I drive it everywhere and people love it. Turns heads everyday. Gets good mileage, goes most places, and it has good room for cargo. I've hauled two transmissions in the back already. Has a Weathertech rear mat. I'm just starting to feel like I'm running a cool car into the ground putting 100+ miles on it everyday.
