1974 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Karmann ConvertibleVery original car. 54k miles on it. Was garage kept when purchased from previous owner. Perfect Southern California car. Tags up to date. Daily driver type of car, yes I drive it to and from work. This is a very fun car to drive and very reliable.Slight tears, wear, minor oil leaks as expected on 44 year old car but working great. Has original jack, tool kit, spare tire, cover, interior and original engine. Runs great a really great head turner. All Maintenance done as recommended. Car is in LOS ANGELES CA.Contact me with any questions before purchasing. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping. Also let me know if you want specific or additional pictures. The NADA Guide value for this car is at $7275(low), $16,400(average) and at $29,800(high). My estimate based on the low mileage, originality and maintenance should be closer to the average value. $29k is usually reserved for showroom quality.
The fuel, temp, oil gauges work good. The speedo works good. No fuel leaks. Seatbelts are all there and working. Original key works in ignition and door locks, all working. Glove box works and trunk lock works too. Tags up to date and registration paid til December 2018. Convertible top is manual and works and locks good. I do have the original shifter knob but added a color matching pool/billiard ball #13. The exterior lights and switches work. Steering column has some play from 44 year old wear and tear but turns good. Tires are good as well as the servicebrakes and parking brake. The original radio is not there, it has an 80's looking radio which works good. Battery good as well as alternator.

A few questions I have been receiving: The car was painted by the original owner many years ago to the orange red color. The original color was a lime yellow color. The floor pans have no holes or rust on them. The upholstery has some tears because it is the original one. You can see the rear seat tear in the pictures. Mostly old age wear and tear. The convertible top is the original one and has a small tear on the right side behind the windows area. Besides the paint job and rear exhaust tailpipes you can see in the pictures, everything else is original. If you are interested in this car please keep the questions coming. I don't like surprises and want to make sure you know what you are purchasing.
Yes, like I mentioned, the engine has some minor oil leaks which is very typical for this car. Like a couple small drops overnight.
Keep em coming.
