2002 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2002 Subaru Impreza Sport wagon with just 79k original miles. I would rate the exterior of this Impreza to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age. She is finished in black over gray interior, which is a good color combination. The black finish shines nicely and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this Impreza Sport, the worst I can point out is some minor rust around the rear fenders...which is nothing to hate an older car for. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors, and tail gate all open and close easily. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors, and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the trim and cladding is present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this Impreza to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner show well for their age. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The sport seats are clean, comfortable, and show virtually no wear. The power windows, locks, and mirrors all work properly. The audio sytsem is original and sounds good through the factory speakers. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The heater works well but the A/C could use a little help. The compressor comes on, but the air coming out of the vents could be colder...so it most likely just needs a charge. Despite being a small car, there is an impressive amount of room for passengers. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this low milesage Impreza came in. Mechanically, this Impreza appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.5L engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any noteworthy leaks (all Subaru's leak things, it's a fact of life) and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older car. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. If I'm being picky, the brakes are a little lumpy if you stand hard on the pedal from highway-ish speeds and could maybe use new pads or the rotors turned...but are fine to take you anywhere you want to go safely. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. The only weird thing is that it will not come out of park unless you push the little override button next to the shifter. It's kind of annoying...but not a huge deal. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. The AWD system is tested and working properly. If you're looking for a very, very capable little wagon, this low mileage Impreza Outback Sport deserves a close look. You get SUV-like capability with the performance and economy of a sedan. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
