Hello,This is a 1949 Diamond T that is in dam good condition for being 70 years old. I’m not sure of the history of it which is unfortunate, the odometer has 2608 on it.. Replaced? Original? Was the truck originally a Firetruck?I purchased this not realizing that the cab was on the small side, height is ok it’s the leg room. The only way I could drive this is to put a sbc motor with a automatic trans so I’m not using my leg on the clutch . Forty years ago I drove a 49 Dodge as a daily driver for over a year don’t remember being that cramped. The truck runs well, the clutch engages good. I have not driven it on the road as I have not insured or registered it. Clean title from the previous owner. The info that I got was that the truck was in a garage for roughly 20 years as the gentlemen passed away and his wife just let it sit. The paperwork I have confirms this.I know that these are highly collectible and this is a great foundation to either finish what has been started or to modify. This would look great on a newer midsize pickup Chassis and you can recoup some of your costs with the original frame and drivetrain. Just a thought. This has been converted over to 12 volt system, all the lights work. The things that it needs, obviously a bed either a flatbed or pickup box. The brakes need attention and the windshield crank bracket on the drivers side is broke. There is a rust hole on the side of the cab that you can see in one of the pics, otherwise it is pretty damn solid. Even the tool box on the passenger side is in great shape. The frame is super clean.I have a video of it running text me and I’ll send it to you. Eight four five seven eight one zero seven five nine I am also interested in a older truck with more room.Any questions please let me know. Look at the the 49 DT Chicago on the fuel tank.. so since it has been sitting in my driveway some has came off, not sure if that was original or not..What really caught my eye with this truck was the style, it is a sharp looking truck it has a chopped roof look to it.So the truck is 70 years old, still it’s in great shape. Perfect ? No, but like I had stated it is a great truck to either drive it like it is or to continue on it. Up to you.. the interior is in very good condition. Maybe it’s been redone. Obviously the truck looks to have been repainted .
