1965 Austin Healey 3000 BJ8 Mark III --
From 1959 to 1967, British car manufacturer Austin-Healey produced the 3000 model in Abingdon, England. Known as the “big Healey†model, the 3000 varied from a 2-seat roadster to a 2+2 sports car with available convertible top. The car was an absolute success in America, with over 90% of the 3000s produced being exported to North America in 1963 alone. In February, 1964, Austin-Healey announced the Mark III/BJ8 sports convertible model. The model included the 2912cc inline 6 cylinder motor... that Austin-Healey was famous for but had 14 more horsepower, up to 150bhp, with a new higher lift camshaft. This 1965 Healey is the result of a comprehensive rotisserie restoration. The ice blue exterior compliments the straight body and is rounded out by a navy convertible top and interior. All around this Healey, the attention to detail in the restoration shows. Start up the inline 6-cylinder engine and the car purrs, ready to be driven with the top down. Inside the car, the navy interior is in great condition, a signal of the level of restoration and care post-restoration that this car received. Vehicle comes with BMIHT Certificate and invoices detailing restoration history. Healeys are quickly becoming one of the most demanded classics on the market. This is a great example of a car that can be driven, enjoyed and showed. A great addition to any collection.Unless stated otherwise, vehicle mileage on title is exempt and unknown if original.
