2005 Honda Civic

  • Clean interior and exterior.
  • 164k miles on it, mostly highway miles
  • Great hybrid gas mileage, 27-37mpg depending on how and where you're driving (highway vs. city). Mileage has the potential to get significantly better if the Hybrid battery is replaced.
  • A/C and heat both work perfectly
  • Comfortable seats with minimal stains (no tears, no smoking, no weird smells).
  • New front tires
  • Has nearly all records from when I purchased it until now
  • No leaks
  • New radio installed less than 2 years ago that works/sounds great.
  • Rust-free due to being driven in Virginia most of its life (it's only been through 1 NY winter and it was kept in the driveway and hardly driven more than once a week).
  • The check engine and IMA lights are both on.
  • It has a very simple fix for an issue it had with the catalytic convertor pulling on the battery power all the time - a simple knob that you screw in whenever you drive the car, and unscrew when you're not going to be driving it for a little while (the green knob pictured in the last photo).
  • A Honda dealership in Roanoke, VA diagnosed all of the above issues as originating in the catalytic convertor. They quoted me $1400 including labor to have the car completely taken apart and the problem potentially fixed. I declined since that's over half of the car's worth. I'm sure if you have a trusted auto mechanic they can fix these issues for MUCH LESS.
  • It's going to need both front control arms and lower front ball joints replaced in the next few months.
  • It has a rebuilt title. I originally purchased it in Oct. 2015 from a garage in Salem, Virginia called 81 Auto Parts that did the rebuild and haven't had any issues on that front.
  • It does not have a valid state inspection due to the catalytic converter issue (and therefore the check engine light being on) listed above.
Happy buying!
