2001 Ford F-150 XLT

For sale is a 2001 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 Supercab Short bed 4.6L engine, Automatic transmission, 4 wheel disc brakes. If you know anything about Ford trucks this is rare bc its almost 99% rust free and has a ton of new parts all of which I have receipts for. The engine was also replaced right before I bought it 3 years ago. The engine that was put in it had 90,000 miles on it and I have a copy of the receipt for the engine swap. In the last 3 years I drove it average miles so I'd guess the engine now has around 130,000 miles. The previous owner also did the trans fluid, filter and a new pan that has a plug right before I bought it. It shifts, runs and drives great.
The GREAT
- Frame, cab corners, quarter panels, cab supports, door rockers, bed supports and bed are all completely solid.
- I replaced the following all in the time that I've had it and I have receipts for all of it:
- The long metal brake line to rear brakes
- Rear differential U-joint (Moog) and pinion seal
- Upper control arm on drivers side (Moog)
- Idler arm (Moog)
- Pittman arm (Moog)
- Alternator
- Heater blend door actuator
- Butyl seal around entire big rear window into bed (doesn't leak a drop now)
- A/C compressor and drier/accumulator
- Truck has the Tow Package with brake box
- I just had a brand new Safelight windshield put on this summer and they come with a lifetime warranty anywhere in the country
- New tires for it when I bought it 3 years ago and still a ton of tread left on them. There is some irregular wear on the passengers side tires bc of that pittman arm that went bad but they're still in great shape
- Alloy American Racing wheels
- Gotts Mod and average 17mpg. I do have the original snorkel air intake tube if you want that but I did the Gotts mod real clean and you won't even notice looking at it.
- Engine Heads aren't the aluminum ones so you don't have to worry about that common problem the 5.4 and 4.6 engines have of shooting spark plugs through your hood.
- Front brakes (new rotors and pads) in April
- Interior is in great shape except for small wear on drivers seat
- Bed liner
- 4x4 works great
- Never had a plow on it
- Changed the oil every 6k miles and only used Motorcraft filters
- Inspected until February 1st.
- Clean and clear title in hand.
The Bad
- One small rust spot under the passengers side door but it doesn't even go up into the cab, its just a small area under the cab and the cab is still completely intact and solid.
- One other really small rust spot on the passengers side near the rear bumper, it's not rusted through tho just surface.
- Power mirrors stopped working recently, not sure what it is, could just be a fuse or switch.
- The compass/temperature display isn't working. Its just three, white, rectangular chips that need to be resoldered. I did it right when I bought it but after a year they must have gotten too hot again and fallen off the circuit board in there. I haven't opened it up tho so they're in there and just need resoldering if the temperature and compass display is something you want.
-Drivers side taillight is cracked. It works fine but could use replacing at some point. The whole unit is $20 brand new on eBay and takes one screw driver and 10 minutes to change.
Actually sad to see it go but I just bought the 78' f-150 I've always wanted and I need to dump a bunch of money into that. This is a great work truck or daily driver. It's got a ton of life left in it. As you can read I've really taken care of it and put a lot of time and some money into it. I'll consider any reasonable cash offers so make me an offer, worst that can happen is I say no thanks. $4,200 or best offer. My zip code is 18017, willing to meet you within 40 miles of that zip.
