AS-IS WHERE IS
First off, this truck is NOT a project truck. It will be completely back together by auction end and dash warnings out. This is quite a rare truck and I might add, no typical F-series rusted out body. No badge change, it's really a 250. Count the lugs, (7). I had to peel the original 4x4 logo to do the prep and prime work.I have the original equipment # to order replacements. They're expensive, sorry. I'm in the process of painting now. I picked the truck up in January and drove it 1,000 miles home while pulling my car. That was before anything at all was done to it.
Since, I have gutted the interior and replaced the heater core, carpet, and completely cleaned everything before reinstalling. Under the hood. Cleaned, added aftermarket headers, replaced spark plugs, fuel injectors, ignition coils, some hoses, changed oil and filter, changed transmission fluid and filter plus drained torque converter, fuel filter, all (4) O2 sensors, throttle position sensor, cam and crank sensor, changed radiator fluid, both front (either wheel bearings or hubs), tie rod ends I think, egr, pcv, rear ABS, maf, and replaced rear taillight lenses. I also have the tailgate in case you were wondering. I just have to sand and prime it too. It has a new lift handle with lock.
Exhaust manifold bolts were extracted and replaced before adding headers. I've tightened them once after install but I still hear an exhaust noise. I'll try to tighten them again. I have a backup camera mounted to the upper right of the rear license plate, no screen as of yet.
With everything I'm doing I haven't even got to the A/C yet. Condensor pump works, A/C needs charged, blows hot. As far as I know, everything works on the truck. I only have one key for the truck. I'm sure it's suppose to have a key fob because the dash says security on it. Truck does not have the under hood rod for lowering the spare tire. Easily obtainable I'm guessing.
Truck is a smooth ride thanks to the expensive tires on it. They are 2 sizes bigger than stock. You don't get that loud 4x4 roar with these tires. They're very mean looking but quiet. Under 100 miles on them. These particular tires are made for driving on ice. No spinning.
One more thing. Valves must be a bit dirty because you can smell it. I'm not currently seeing any smoke but I do smell exhaust. I added stuff just for that in the oil and gas. Also, if I had the time and/or money I would have replaced the shocks. Not bad, just look old and worn out. I'm a very picky person.
(In my opinion, this truck can be driven anywhere) Again, that's just my opinion. I say that because of what I described in the beginning. Me talking about driving it with nothing done and pulling my car. It did fine. It should do a lot better now. If the new owner wishes to change the engine for some reason, make sure to part it out. I have way too much into new parts to junk it.
