1966 Ford Galaxie 7 Litre1966 Ford Galaxie 7 Litre Convertible. Good condition, body work is just about done. The car has been stripped down for paint and is in bare metal in a lot of places. This vehicle was partially covered and sat out in the weather for 20 years without a top. The rear floorboards need to be replaced but the patch panels come with the car. The trunk pan has pinholes and a patch panel also comes for that. The front fenders, doors, rockers, trunk lid and front floor panels are very solid. There are a few pin holes behind the rear tires in the quarter panels but no real rust through. The frame is in excellent condition with only surface rust.
The engine is a thermactor equipped 428 with a 4bbl and a C-6 automatic transmission. The car does yard drive, the brakes do work. There is a wiring issue in the alternator to voltage regulator wiring loom so the vehicle is not considered driveable. This car has the original front disc brakes and the appropriate wheels for clearance without spacers. The master cylinder and exhaust were changed out in the vehicle's history some time.
I have all the parts for this car with the exception of the 7 Litre grille emblem. The rocker moldings are straight with no dings. All other trim is in serviceable condition. The interior needs to be re-done but I have all the panels and seats.
This is a very rare car and is well worth the restoration. Other projects are demanding my attention so this one has to go.
