1996 Ford F-150 XLT

**IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ALL PROSPECTIVE BUYERS WATCH ALL OF THE VIDEOS (6 of 16 videosare included in this listing & the rest are at this Youtube channel: ebaymewzaq) & CAREFULLY EXAMINE ALL OF THE PICTURES. IT CANNOT BE TEST-DRIVEN BECAUSE IT IS NOLONGERREGISTERED OR INSURED. BEFORE 'RETIRING' IT I MADE A VIDEO OF ME DRIVING IT SO YOU COULD AT LEAST HAVE A VIRTUAL DRIVE WITH IT. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO COME & SEE IT PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA THE EBAY CONTACT MESSAGE SYSTEM.THE TRUCK IS AT AN EASY TO FINDDOWNTOWN OSHKOSH, WILOCATION (just off N Main St)WITH BANKS NEARBY. IF YOU ARE INTERESTEDPLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME AND LOOK IT OVERTO CONFIRM 100% THAT THIS IS THE TRUCK THAT YOU WANT*

*Due to the transmission problems this vehicle cannot be driven on the highway. If you live a short distance away you could drive it home on the back-roads as long as you had an accompanying vehicle behind youto putflashers on if needed. I cannot ship this truck but I can assistin loading it if the buyer hires a vehicle transporter*

*ATTENTION*: THIS IS A SALT-BELT STATE TRUCK SO IT IS RUSTY. I DID SOME 'POORMANS' AMATEUR BODY WORK ON IT BUT DUE TO THE WINTERCOLD WEATHER I COULD NOT FINISH IT SO ONLY A GRAY PRIMER WAS SPRAYED ON THE SECTIONS THAT I WORKED ON. A NEW CAN OF GRAY DUPLI-COLOR IS INCLUDED. ALL OF THESE DETAILSAND MUCH MORE IS COMMENTED ON IN THE 16 VIDEOS THAT I MADE TO SHOW THE CONDITION*

*This truck has always started no matterhow cold it got& has overallfunctioned well for me. If I planned on just using it for city driving then I would keep it but occasionally I need to do some highway driving which I can no longer do with it because of the E40D transmissionslipping & shifting problems at higherspeeds.Off-road, farm use or snow-plowingusually does not need speeds above 35MPH so the tranny is usablefor doing that if it isdriven mostlyin 2nd gear& only using 1st gear when needed*

*THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT (CEL) IS ON WITH THESE 8 CODES: P0175, P1120, P1121,P0122, P0123, P0500, P1351, P0172 BUT THE TRUCK WAS STILL DRIVEABLE. AUTOZONE SCANNED THE CODES JUST BEFORE I 'RETIRED' IT*

**THE PREVIOUS OWNER WAS A SMOKER BUT AFTER APPLYING A FEW BOXES OF BAKING SODA (in 2014) ON THE FLOORS & SEATS I NOWCAN NO LONGER SMELL THE SMOKE EXCEPTDURING CERTAIN WEATHER CONDITONS WHICH WILL BRING OUT A VERY FAINT SMELL**

**OTHER ISSUES**: 1] Rear leaking brake lines need work (rearbrake linestemporarily crimped off. The front lines & passenger side flex-hosehave been replaced & work fine) 2] On 7/30/17Ifounda tiny leak under the rear gas tank strap (rusting very common there) but on the ground under it was just a small spot of leakage. Currently this tank is holding 1/4 of gas but when Ilast checked the leak a few months later ithad 'sealed' itself with gas varnish build-up so I saw no gas dripping spot under the tank. Other than the reartankleak both tanks work well & I alternated betweenfront & rear tanks frequently so that both of the fuel pumps would stay active & not seize up due to varnishing build-up from non-usage. 3] The front-end will need an alignment because of uneven tire wear & after it is realigned new tires ortires with decent tread will need to be installed. 4] The driver's door key entry lock is jammed so a key will not turnwhen it is inserted (it was jammed when I bought it) otherwise the driver's door opens fine from the outside & inside. Also, the driver's sideelectric power door lock no longer functions due to a bad wiringconnection. The passenger's side door lock works fine (bothpower & manually) so that is how I entered to open the driver's side door. The driver's sidemirror has a vertical fracture down the center (see pics below).5] The TFI /Ignition Control Module was replaced during January 2017. I received an extra TFI / ICM from the previous owner but it was a 'Gray' color type & not the 'Black' color type that had been installed on the inner fender-well. Both were not OEM partsso I do not know which is the correct color to use on this F150 model. Both the Gray & Black TFI will work but there is a difference which can be learned about by researching online. The correct color TFI might be installed nowor maybeit isn'tso the next owner will need to find out for sure. 6] The exhaust system currently does function but it needs to be tested for leaks due to rusting & old age.It also needs at least 2holding brackets one of which is right behind the muffler & the other by the tailpipe. A new muffler clamp was installed in front of the muffler because the old one had rusted through.7] Emergency Brake is seized from non-usage. 8] The passenger side running board's holding bracket rusted through onone side so I quit using it.When this happened I also quit using the driver's side running board because it was also rusty. 9] There is a tiny ding in the windshield which is shown in one of the videos about the interior. 10] It has been parkedsince the end ofJune 2017 & no major leakage spotshave occurred but the differential& trannyhavetiny sealleaks which cause 'lube residue shining' on the outer surfaces. 11] Overdrive didwork but thelight flashes on the shifter. 12] The Check Engine Light CEL is on. 13] I cannot confirm if the Cruise-Control works because I never used it. 14]Spare tire has a slow leak 15] Headlight lenses are cloudy & the passenger sidelens has moisture inside. Both of the headlamps were replaced 2 years ago. 15] Negative battery terminal had a loose fit so I installed a screwbetween it and the post to tighten it up. 16] Ash-Tray is loose because the sliding rail guides broke. 17] Rear interior sliding window has plastic hinge latch that is almost broken through.18]Sometimes the speaker in the driver's door goes out but not often.19] TheTailgate isrusty (mostly at the bottom) & has dentswhichis shown in some of the pictures below. I did a 'poor-man's patch'all along the bottom exteriorsection with aluminum sheeting which is shown inthe pictures below.20] The Topper has a tiny rainwater leak due to gasket shrinkage atits front sliding window. There is also some gasket shrinkage in the side windows & a few tears inthescreen which is commented on in a video. 21] During December 2016 the Starter would only click sometimes so itwas taken apart, the connections wereburnished & the lubrication points lubed.Thereconditioned Starterhas worked well ever since but it is getting old so a new or rebuilt Motorcraft brand or similar quality is advised but keep the old one handyto use as a back up. 22] Iwas notgiven a key to the Topper's rear lifting window-door & ithas a handle which turns butno longer locks.

**THIS TRUCK IS A 'HANDYMAN'S SPECIAL' FOR A DO-IT-YOURSELFER. IT WOULD COST TOO MUCH TOPAY A 'PRO' TODO THE REPAIR WORK THAT IS NEEDED**

*It had a recentoil change, filter& lube job at Woodman's in Appleton in the Spring of 2017* *The alternator brushes were replaced in 2015**The Starter Relay (fender mount by battery shown inpics)was recently replaced in January 2107* *The AC & Heater work excellent* *All of the lights work* *JVC KD-G310 Car Stereo is Sirius satellite ready (previous owner used it)* *The Owner's Manuals are included* *AN ATSGTECHTRAN E40D Transmission Manual is included* *Some extra unusedparts are included: spark plugs, brake pads, 2sensors, cable-endkit for inner door openingmechanism* *The suspension is still good but the underside is rusty whichis shown in the pictures located under the videos* *It has a trailer hitch* *The 4x4 / 4WDwas recently used when I got stuckbacking intomysnowy & icy driveway. After locking thehubs & pressing the 4WD button the truck handled the driveway without hesitation. I made a video of this* *The interior is still very decent which is shown in the pictures**Some areaswill need morecleaning butmost ofthe'dirty-work' has been done**The power windows work great with the motors still strong* *Both of the Wing-Vent Windows work well**The doors have a solid sound when shut* *The hoodhas strong springs. It isnot held up by a rod* *Many features of this truck are a throwback to the old days including the gas mileage!**Fleet-Farm Battery installedon 1/10/2014still works well*
