2000 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT

Up for sale is my 2000 Dodge Ram 2500. Truck was purchased as a commuter for work and has slowly been built to what it currently is. I have recently been put in a company truck and am no longer in need of this extra truck. I’ll try to do my best with the description but if you have any questions please email, this vehicle sale is a lot to take in. Auction is for the complete truck, race motor and every extra part I have for the 2nd gen Dodge.

I have replaced pretty much every hard part on the truck over the past 30k miles. Serviced every 3k with all new filters, trans and diff serviced every 10k miles, coolant every 35k and brake fluid every 20k.

The suspension was gone thru with all new ball joints, tie rods, pitman arm, front/rear shocks, steering box, power steering/vacuum pump assy. with new oil feed line and power steering hoses, steering damper was added, front steering brace from SPOHN racing, rear leaf springs, CPP 90” traction bars, front/rear wheel bearings with new oil seals, front/rear brakes with new lines/pads/shoes/calipers/drum hardware/slave cylinders, energy suspension control arm bushings, front sway bar bushings and all body mounts. Frame was also sanded and resprayed gloss black.

The drivetrain was replaced approximately 10k miles ago. New NV4500 from local builder with phat shaft upgrade short shifter and FAST coolers, south bend dual disc clutch with higher rated pressure plate than normal kit good for 700hp, upgraded hydraulics from Vallair, rear end was re-done with new Yukon gears, bearings and Detroit tru trac locker. Driveshaft was rebuilt and spun balanced with a new carrier bearing, spicer u-joints and new yokes on both rear end and transmission side to prevent seal leaks.

The interior was just redone with the exception of the headliner and sun visors. I had plans to install full sued or a Rolls Royce starlight once it went in for paint and body. The seats have been re-upholstered and look like brand new. I cleaned or replaced the door panels that would not clean up to new looking and replaced the door cups. Dash board is also brand new OEM from Dodge with a new dash bezel and A/C vents. Dash is all blue LED with a Clarion flip up navigation system with a Clarion four channel amp and all Rockford component systems in all 4 doors, edge juice with attitude monitor hot unlocked and a autometer cobalt boost gauge. Headlight switch and turn signal switch are new and have been upgraded with the brite bow setup to prevent melted wires. Floor mats are LLyods ultra plush and would look like new if professionally cleaned. Carpet has been replaced as well with an ultra-plush rubber backed carpet and the truck body undercoated prior to installation. All pedal rubbers have been replaced as well as the pedal bushings. All of the door weather stripping has also been replaced on all four doors and is extremely quite inside running down the freeway.

The exterior has a couple dings as to be expected from an 18 year old truck. I actually had a body shop date scheduled 1/3/18 to drop the truck off but no use in spending more money. It shines up very well for its age but you’re not afraid to throw something in the bed. Tires and wheels have less than 15k miles on them and were just rotated and balanced 1/6. Front bumper was purchased as a kit from CPP (truck is actually posted on their website as a model) and fabbed to the truck with Rigid marine 6 bulb fog lights wired in to the brite box with the high beams. Headlights are brand new DEPOs from Genos garage with all new ultra-white bulbs and LED blinkers. Cab light is a smoked Reacon as well as the tail lights and roof lights. I also have the vent filters installed from Genos to protect the EVAP core. Will also come with the 85 gallon fuel transfer tank custom made by CSH marine.

Currently under the hood is the stock VP44 powered 24v and its not a 53 block. The motor actually in the truck is the original and runs like a top. Fresh oil every 3k with Valvoline oil and K&N filter along with a new oil pan. Every bolt on that could be installed around the motor has been. Crazy Carl intake manifold runner, pusher 3” driver side pipes with cross air and 3.5” passenger pipe, BD intercooler, Mushimoto radiator, Fluidamper, all new belts/fan clutch, fan clutch mount, fan blade, fan shroud, Mushimoto 180 thermostat, Fleece coolant bypass, BD stainless header, BD super B special turbo, AFE pro guard 7 intake system, new battery cables/terminals, billet tappet cover, reman vp44, new OEM fuel lines, SAC 7x.014 injectors, FASS 150 lift pump on a sump with all ½” supply/returns, Hamilton extreme duty pushrods, ARP 425 headstuds, new valve cover gasket and billet fuel pump block off plate. Has a small oil leak on the front driver side corner of the timing cover, this is what sparked the motor build noted below. It’s so small it doesn’t need any oil added between services but to me annoying. A/C system is all brand new hoses, condenser, compressor etc. and blows 40 degree air at 110 degrees outside. Starter is new, as well as the radiator overflow bottle and windshield washer fluid bottle/pump.

With all that said the truck has been gone thru all the way with the exception of the motor. But this auction also includes a no expense spared big boy toy motor. It’s a stock sleeved 5.9l 24v block painted Cummins apex red. Bottom end is a stock 5.9l crank with tone ring to pick up tach signal, billet oil squirters, mahle main and rod bearings, Industrial injection Gorilla girdle, carillo rods, mahle pistons fly cuts ceramic coated domes and oil skirted sides, new wrist pins, new oil pan, Hamilton 188/220 cam, Hamilton steal fat head tappets, Hamilton cam retainer. Top end is a custom full race ported cylinder head built by CPP diesel, milled off intake plenum with joker side draft intake and steed speed exhaust manifold. ARP 625 head studs, ARP rocker studs, NEW stock rocker arms with Fleece billet rockers, Fleece coolant bypass, billet freeze plugs, ARP flywheel bolts, ARP balancer bolts, all new front/rear main seals with speedi sleeves, Keating machine timing cover, tappet cover, fuel pump block off, vacuum pump block off, SAC 7x.012 injectors, .093 feed tubes and all covered up by the industrial Cummins valve cover painted to match. To put a ball park number, just the head, manifolds and rods is around $8k.

Auction also includes a slew of extras. Ive got almost everything you need to rebuild the stock engine and upgrade it for a spare. New pistons, gasket sets, heavier valve springs, seats, intake/exhaust valves, guides, stem seals, Cummins apex red paint, industrial injection Girdle, new oem EVAP core, extra battery cable to move the batteries to the bed, battery cut off switch and the list goes on.

Every item I own for what I had planned for this truck comes with it. I will have a stand built for the motor to secure it in the bed for transport and all other parts will be locked in the cab. Truck will come full serviced with all new fluid and filters dated and initialed prior to shipment/pickup. This is a great truck with a lot of extras. I just couldn’t bring myself to putting in another motor when the one runs so well.

If you have any questions at all please feel free to ask. If you made it this far in the read you will not regret the purchase. I will except reasonable offers, I understand the magnitude of this purchase and am in no way looking to recover everything I have vested, just the garage space back. If you agree to purchase, deposit is no refundable and will be applied to the agreed sale price. Thanks for your time.
