1976 Datsun Z-Series 280Z

Original southern california car, very good all around shape with none of the usual rust that plagued these models. Solid floors, frame, rockers, trunk.Car was in a heated garage for 15 years, I purchased it 2 years ago from 3rd owner who had it for 23 years and drove it for about 5k miles during that period, and didnt drive it at all for the last 15.Paint I am told was done 20 years ago, still shows very well. there are a few bubbles where it actually looks like the paint shrunk around the tight radius of the wheelwell, but no sign of rust behind, cant really notice unless you look close.The rest of the paint looks amazing, no cracks fading etc.The paint is available and would be an easy blend. If it doesnt sell I will be painting both sides along with the fiberglass bumpers.Interior is in great shape...seats, door panels,headliner,look like they were professionally done at one point.I installed a new oem console and got rid of the large armrest cupholder for the original style.It has a stereo system and a booster along with a new power antenna. Mechanically I went through the whole car, I wanted to drive it and so did the wife so it had to be reliable.Gas tank was dropped and flushed out, all new rubber fuel lines, new fuel pump with new shut off valve in the back.All new fuel injectors and injector hoses, new injector connectors.Complete tune up, plugs, wires cap, rotor, fuel filter, valve adjustment. Car has aftermarket 6 into 1 header and cold air induction so air flow meter was re-calibrated accordingly .All heater hoses were changed (including the hard to get at ones under the dash) did not trust any of the 40+ year old braided hoses.New starter with nissan spec relay update.Brake hoses were replaced with aftermarket braided, front pads were replaced and brake fluid was flushed for new.All fluids were changed, oil, coolant, and trans. Trans shifts perfect and im pretty sure the diff has 3.54 gear ratio.Everything else underneath looked good.It runs and drives 100%.Tires are like new however im not sure how old that they are, no dry rot.All lights signals etc work as they should.This is a Manual steering car with aftermarket Nardi style wheel.The factory A/C system is intact, I put my 3 last cans of r12 and it blew ice cold for about 2 months so it obviously has a small leak somewhere. I also have a rare factory ZX Turbo exaust manifold, New in box T4 turbo, and the biggest intercooler that would fit in front of the radiator. This car proved reliable all summer long, and is happy cruising the local streets or doing 65 on the highway with remarkable gas mileage. Im not hard pressed to sell it but I could use the space in the garage. If you are a car guy, im sure you understand. If it stays here it will eventually get the turbo set up.
