1955 Chrysler Imperial Newport

1955 Imperial Newport Two Door Hardtop. In 1955, the Chrysler Corporation made the "Imperial" a separate division. The Chrysler Corporation had Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler, and Imperial divisions. The Imperial Newport was the Chrysler Corporation's top of the line car for 1955. This 1955 Imperial was left unattended for over thirty years and needs to be restored. I have a clear Utah title in my name, and I will gladly ship the Imperial anywhere in the world. I highly value my 100% positive feedback on Ebay, and with this in mind, I will list in detail both the positive and negative aspects of my Imperial. The reserve on my Imperial is very low and well under its stated value in the "Old Car Buyers Guide" for a number 5. On the positive side: 1. The Imperial is very complete and has all of the unique Imperial badges and trim. It even has the keys and the tattered remains of the original owner's manual. The interior is complete and in useable condition. It needs a thorough cleaning, but the original leather and headliner are inrelatively good condition. Please look closely at the photos. The carpets areoriginal, but need to be replaced. 2. The original, number matching Hemi V8 turns freely, but has not been started in over thirty years. 3. All of the glass is good with the exception of a small crack in the door flat glass. Both front and rear windshields are very good. On the negative side: 1. The Imperial sat outside, unprotected for many years. 2. The lower body areas need rust repair. The rockers, inner rockers, and the lower sections of the front and rear fenders need rust repair. The floors are not in bad shape and the frame is in good condition. The Imperial came with a "boxed" frame from the factory and this frame is in very good condition. 3. All of the unique badges and trim pieces are in good condition. There is one wheel well arch piece missing and there is a lot of surface rust on the bumpers. Again, please look closely at the photos. 4. The engine is complete, but has not been started for years. I found and purchased a 1955 Imperial Shop Manual which is included with the sale of the Imperial. As I mentioned, I value my Ebay reputation, and if you have additional questions, I would be glad to answer them. My name is Bob and my phone number is (801) 745-5835. I will gladly help the shipper you select in shipping the Imperial anywhere in the world. If you have less than five positive feedbacks on Ebay, please give me a call or message me before bidding.
