Features and Specifications
1971 Chevrolet Camaro 3501971 Camaro 350. One owner numbers matching car. Purchased for the original owner for a high school graduation gift in 1971. Mileage is exempt but the 95k miles is original. There is a log book dating back to 1980 when the car had 15k miles on it, driven until 2004 and parked. Car runs and drives good. Car has been in California and Texas its whole life. However, it does have some rust from sitting for the last 14 years but this car is a restorers dream.
Body: All body panels are original to the car and have never been replaced. Looks to have been painted once but most of the paint is original. There is some rust that needs repaired but no panels need replaced, just small patches. I've taken good pictures of the areas that need attention. Trunk has some pin holes but again, does not need replaced, just a couple of patches. Doors open and shut very solid.
Drivetrain: Engine looks to have never been out of the car and still has the vin clearly stamped on the pad. Couldn't get a good picture but I guarantee it is there. Runs and drives good, original 2 bbl carb might need rebuilt but I had this thing going 80 mph on the highway and was going nice and smooth. Disc brakes and new tires on original rally wheels.
Interior: All original, maybe carpet was changed once but that is it. Dash is curled from heat. Remember all this stuff is 47 years old and has been in a hot climate its whole life. All gauges, radio and horn work. Passenger door has to be opened from inside since outer handle is cracked like these 2nd gens like to do.
All in all a great car to restore back to original or pro tour. You don't find many one owners like this that haven't been jacked with in there life. You could drive this car while you restore it and have fun with it. Please remember this is a low starting price for a car like this. It is not and has not ever been restored. Just a good honest car that has lived its life in a nice dry climate.
Thanks for looking,
