1969 AMC AMX

This is a great example of an unmolested 69 AMX 390 4speed. This car has remained untouched for the last almost 40 years.
I originally listed as a go pack but I can't say for 100 percent certainty that it is since I cannot locate a build sheet. So I have removed it even though it wears some of the go pack equipment like the magnum 500 rims, twin grip rear, 390, rear sway bar, tach, etc... you will need to make your own determination. I will assist any way I can to help decode the car.

I have tracked down the cars owners back to the 80's. The owner before that has passed. Service records dating back to 1983. At that point the car had 87,000 miles on it. It now has 93,000.
Car has original drivetrain, carpet and seats were redone the interior is in great shape.
I drove the car occasionally during the summer working a couple bugs out here and there.
2k in recent brake work. 4 wheel manual drum but they work great. Strut rod bushings replaced and car aligned. Drives good on the reproduction polyglass tires.
Engine runs smooth and strong. Trans shifts through the gears great. This car has the 3.54 limited slip.
I really like the car but I have too many. I will soon be listing my Duster and probably my Road Runner as well.
I don't need to sell so I'm not looking to fire sale this car. It's really a great car, shows pretty well for 40 year old paint. Or is a great candidate for an easy full restore.
Cars this unmolested with a good color combination and original don't come along everyday.
Car has been raced in the pure stock drags in Stanton Michigan.
If you go to youtube there is a video of the car running. It's video of the car running against a 57 ford at the pure stock drags. Look up AMX vs 57 Ford.
Only bad I can say about the car is there are a few little bubbles in the paint, and even though the car shows well the paint is worn. But that's what you get with 40 years old paint.
The fuel gauge doesn't work properly. The speedo isn't totally smooth. The throw out bearing makes a little noise.
Radiator has been redone and it runs nice and cool. I wouldnt have an issue jumping in right now and driving this car across the state.
The tires do not show any weather check but they are old. Previous driver always suspended the car while in winter storage.
