1977 AMC Gremlin X
Gremlin Race or Show
This car is a gorgeous rotisserie restoration of an original black, no-rust, low mile 77 Gremlin I have owned over 15 years.
This car is extensively modified and has won numerous races and shows and being kept in climate controlled indoor storage, looks as good as the day it was finished. Laser straight with Sikkens black high-gloss show quality finish. This incredible car was featured in a TV episode of American Muscle Car and has appeared in magazines as well. Senior owned, the car has not been out of the garage in the last three years.
The car is currently set up for “no electronics” or “footbrake” drag racing but easily could be made streetable. It is an all-steel body with factory glass and has been as fast as 9.93 in the ¼ mile and consistently runs low 10’s. It is reliable, hooks hard and runs straight.
The current motor is a Barry Allen built Indy headed 760HP+ AMC 401 with only a few passes on it. It is a naturally aspirated and fuel-injected 14:1 compression monster. Custom built fuel injection on INDY intake, Holley ECU with data logger. Custom two-inch primary exhaust tube headers. Adjustable front suspension with coilovers and travel limiters. Aerospace front brakes with line lock.
The car maintains its stock interior with roll cage and two comfortable Corbeau bucket seats with racing harnesses. Built in fire suppression system. Turbo Action converter and 998 trans with a Ford 9” rear. Too much more to list, over $50,000 invested.
Wheels up launches. Everything is the best equipment available.
