2008 Acura TL

Hi you are bidding on my 2008 Acura TL Type S A spec in Kinetic Blue Pearl. This car features the 5 speed automatic transmission. Here is some history and information about the vehicle.

-*All questions will be answered but please read the following first* -

The vehicle is originally from Arizona where it was garaged and well maintained. I've owned it almost a year, also kept the car garaged and well maintained . All surfaces of the car are regularly detailed by hand including being waxed at least once a month and leather conditioning.

Regular synthetic oil changes at the proper interval, 60k service including spark plugs/coolant change/valve adjustment/, k n drop in air filter have all been done this year. Big jobs were done at the local Acura dealership.

Tires are brand new and only have a few thousand miles on them, aren't even due for the next alignment/balance/rotation yet. They are Firestone Firehawk Indy wideoval 500's. Very grippy, good on wet roads and I got about 25,000 miles outta my last set, so you'll be good for a long time.

The transmission is smooth and quick shifting in full auto mode, it's even more fun shifting with the steering wheel mounted paddles or with the gearshift. You can pull strong to redline and it rev matches on the downshift. This makes for a quick car matched with the almost 300hp vtec 3.5 liter. The transmission 3x3 fluid drain and fill has been performed around every 20k miles, this is a good idea to keep things reliable and smooth shifting. I also replaced the 3 pressure switches in the tranny at around 55k, this should be done every 60k or so for the same reasons.

There are no modifications but there are some dealer options including all season floor and trunk mats, side lateral door panels and door edge guards all in excellent condition.

This car also features the dealer optioned and installed A spec lip kit.

The interior is near mint. The leather is in great shape with no cracking and next to no wear besides a small spot on the drivers seat. There are no stains or rips in the carpeting or headliner. No smells as the car has never been smoked in. All lights are bright red and in working order, including the slick looking factory red footwell lights.

The sound system is arguably the best part of the car. It's the best sounding car audio I've ever owned. It's especially deep and clear through the aux or satellite radio. Next to the performance and looks I'll miss the sound system the most.

Things that should be fixed :

Front and passenger motor mounts are on their way out. Figure 2 hours or so on the front one, hour or less on the passenger side. Parts aren't pricey. Irritating but unfortunately expected with these and other more powerful front wheel drive cars.

Rear drivers strut seems to be starting to go. Again this is a cheap part and not too hard of a job. Handling is still amazing, just think I'm starting to hear the driver rear shock starting to go.

Rear rotors and pads are almost done. Very easy job, maybe an hour and cheap parts.

Front Brembo brakes are around 50%.

Excellent braking car, very confident.

Drivers side mirror was clipped while parked. Mirror itself is fine but the plastics got cracked. Fully useable as is . Can be repaired fairly cheaply or a new one can be installed very easily.

Front wheels have a small amount of rash on the lips from the previous owner. Not noticble beyond 5 feet, fixable if one is a perfectionist.

A few small chips on the front bumper from regular driving but just normal slight wear.

A few brush mark type scratches along the passenger rear lower a spec molding below the bumper behind the passenger rear tire.

I want to be honest and straight forward with this vehicle. I have a lot of the 1st owners service records

all of mine and some of the estimates for the needed maintainace if wanted.

Car was in a minor not a fault accident in August 2017. Driver rear exterior door skin needed painting/replacing as well as some blending into the surroundings. Professionally done and came out great. Assuming this will come up on a carfax, having previously ordered one myself that should be the only hiccup in the records.

This is one of this best cars I've ever driven. So balanced, smoot, powerful, plus very good looks. One of the best sounding 6 cylinder engines every made, very deep (almost Supra in-line 6 sounding) down low and then classic vtec in the higher rpms.

The car spent the first 1/2 of its miles as Sunday cruiser and occasional commuter in Arizona. I've used it the past year mostly for road trips on RT 66 and RT 1, the pacific coast highway. Never seen snow and rarely even seen rain. Extra clean/rust free under the car and hood.

Selling the car to get back into a 2 door with a 6 speed.

If you have questions about what I mentioned or something I haven't covered please ask. I'm a lifelong auto enthusiast and have owned several Acura/Honda's. Looking to pass on the good times not problems. Thank you for your interest!
